In a speech over the weekend, Meghan McCain declared “that ‘old school Republicans’ were ‘scared shitless’ of the changing (political) landscape.” She also said,
"Simply embracing technology isn't going to fix our problem," she said. "Republicans using Twitter and Facebook isn't going to miraculously make people think we're cool again. Breaking free from obsolete positions and providing real solutions that don't divide our nation further will. That's why some in our party are scared. They sense the world around them is changing and they are unable to take the risk to jump free of what's keeping our party down."
Star of stage and screen, Pat Boone was not in attendance and didn’t hear this statement. Why? Because he was too busy proving Ms. McCain right! In his article titled “The Revolution has Begun” praises the tea baggers for rising up, al la Sam Adams, writes a letter to his representatives which basically says “you didn’t ask me,” and praises WorldNetDaily for being “a blazing furnace of light, heat and reliable information that is igniting and fueling the upsurge in resistance to a new administration run amok.” He then goes on to offer links to the copy, paste, send crowd so they can protest themselves. He finishes his post with, “TO THE BARRICADES!” It’s the grumpy ramblings of an old man who’s world is changing around him and it’s quite funny.
I do have one thing to thank Mr. Boone for. See, he made a living on the backs of African-American entertainers by covering and sanitizing their songs for white kids who’s parents wouldn’t let them listen to black artists. If it wasn’t for him, we never would have had Three Times One Minus One! Yeah!
